Trip to washing DC? tour the city!? - dc tour maps printable
I'm in the great history of the army in my country that I was stationed in Virginia Beach, I'm looking for my wife and my son is 19 months long to see in one day in Wahington DC, the White House and the whole story in a row City (perhaps presedent), but would think Unfortunetly with his hands in the air, where to go, someone has information that can be a guide? or find a bus or even information about parking and a place with a card? surgestions no help .... please!

The absolute best way to travel to Washington DC with the metro system (DC). You can return your car in the underground parking stations and buy some from there to a certain price card and use the subway in the city. Why do I recommend the subway? For while you are traveling, have difficulty finding parking in Washington DC. Most parking garages are filled with travel and so on. Besides, you never when the police a whole street was closed and traffic will be diverted never know, just to accommodate one of the many parades that I have in DC.
In Springfield, you can take a shuttle service from the hotel to the metro station (many hotels offer this), or you can drive your car to the station in Springfield, the parking lot, where parking is not complete and a fee (for stop) for parking.
The best thing about what to do, but you can get the map of the underground and what they call the Smithsonian Metro station. If you go over the ground ... everything is ... The Emerald City in Wizard of Oz stopping the SmithsonianLocated in the heart of the National Mall that stretches from the Capitol to the Potomac River. All major attractions are available.

OK, but the real treasures of DC .. Smithsonian museums are located directly on the National Mall between the Washington Monument and the Capitol. The entrance is free and not worry about tickets. Security indicate modest .. be able to enjoy. Museum of Natural History. American History Museum. Some other galleries (which) are super cool. But my favorite is the Air & Space Museum. I had friends out there, said they were not interested in what 'sTuff. But when the door and saw the Gemini and Apollo capsules, their eyes light up. They also have a life-low-cost Air & Space Museum, with things like McDonald's and pizza and snacks. (The cheapest place to eat in the mall.)
Some indicators of the last time here. Make sure you wear warm and comfortable. Make sure walking shoes really comfortable. The National Mall is a large room to go to ... and the museums. You know, but a game in case your family is separated from the group.
Oh yes, and other things as recommended here and DuPoint Georgetown Circle and other areas. Well ... If you have time. But there is much to see. They are more "connected" to hang where artists and types of coffee to drink coffee with milk, clothes and shoes Birkenstock Zorastian discuss ancient poetry. Children get bored very quickly. (I also very quickly bored.)
